6eme or P. Bellecour for lodging? Please help!

Help! I'm trying to decide between staying around Pl Bellecour (rue Maronniers) or in the 6eme arrondissement. I'm looking at Evasion Loft (amazing reviews TA) in 6th, but afraid it's a bit far out to walk to points of interest. Other choice is Jardin d'Hiver, but wondering if this area is too touristy/loud at night. Appreciate advice!

Rue des Marronniers is the street with a lot of restaurants on it. In good weather it's very noisy till very late, in off season all the diners get inside so it gets rather quiet for a central location. And location wise you could not be any closer to the main areas of interest. 6th arrondissement, the most prestigious and expensive, is the best for prolonged stays. It is very quiet and green area, by the parc Tete d'Or, with probably the biggest number of Lyon best restaurants. But it is around 30-45 minutes walking distance from the centre. Hope that bit of information will help.

Le Jardin d'Hiver has only rooms and apartments that looks onto the yard. You won't have any window onto rue des Marronniers actually, so noise isn't an issue.
