which courchevel?

can anyone help us choose which area we should stay in over New year? we have a choice of hotels in Courchevel 1550, 1650 or 1850 ?Thanks

1850 the most expensive but hopefully "proper" snow at that time of year for skiing home. More trendy, cosmopolitan. 1650 smaller friendly, slopes above tend to be a little quieter but easy access to rest of Courcheval. Perhaps more of a traditional ski resort atmosphere. 1550 below 1850. I presume artifical snow if conditions are not OK for skiing home (needs cold weather to make snow). Then I believe from 1550 you would have to go up to 1850 to connect to those lifts. Personnally I would forget 1550. Then as I hate walking to lifts I would pick the place nearest the lifts. Just my personal choice.

1850 is much better-and all the main lifts are here.. plus more things to do here in the evenings.. the snow should be good for u then and they do have snow cannons if the snow is a bit dodgy . If you are travelling as a family and have kids that arn't able to ski i would recommend Magic N motion ski school- they are very good with kids and the instructors speak good english
