Will any supermarkets be open Easter Sunday?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any supermarkets that will be open Easter Sunday in Chamonix. I see on the Super U website they open Sunday mornings but don't know if they will be open on Easter Sunday. We are leaving Chamonix on that Sunday for a week in an apartment near Rome so wanted to pick up a few basics before we leave, as I doubt that anything will be open in Italy Sunday or Monday. Staying in a hotel on Saturday night so can't really pick up stuff that needs to be kept cool on Saturday.

I would be very grateful if any Chamonix locals can help - it doesn't have to be a big Super U type place, any small shop to get milk etc before we go would be enough.

Thanks

Alison

They open for the morning on most Sundays but Easter I am not sure.

However, they do post the opening hours on the door

Just a thought, but presumbaly you'll have to stop for fuel between Chamonix and Italy. Lots and lots of petrol stations there have mini markets attached to them. You could stock up on essential non-perishables on Saturday and purchase milk, etc., when you're closer to Italy........

Even if Super U isn't open at least one of the Petit Casinos will be.
