Uzes is very nice yes. Try to visit on a Saturday if you like markets.

Uzès is just over an hour's drive from St. Rémy.

Russ - do you mean just outside of St. Rémy or are you talking an hour's drive or more?

What about a drive around the Alpilles National Park? Nice roads and several nice little villages on the route.

Toutou, an hour drive is just fine AND would like some inside info on places not quite as far. Combine that with great food destinations and restaurants in that area and I believe we will be all good. THANX!!!

Tarascon and Beaucaire should suit.

If you like wine, I'd visit Tavel. It is about a 40 minute drive from St. Remy. The cave co-op has some excellent wines. Be sure to try their oak aged rosé. I know it sounds quite odd oak aging a rosé, but it is really very good - very different.

Tavel rosés are really wonderful! So are those from Domaine Ott, near Cassis.
