B&B/Farm stay suggestions?

Hi.

We are travelling to Provence for 9 days in mid June. We will have been travelling for a while by this time so rather than staying in a hotel or a B&B in town we're looking for a B&B or farmstay around St Remy where we can base ourselves. (We're choosing St Remy as it seems quite central, but if happy to change that for the right accommodation).

We are happy to travel out of town as we will have a car.

We like animals so if the farmstay has animals and is a working farm that would be even better.

Our budget isn't high, about 80 Euro per night.

If anyone has any suggestions we'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks

Hi Less,

Virtually ALL rental properties are only available by the week - with the week, starting on Saturday. Sorry, but I don't know of any working farms where you can stay.

Since virtually ALL of Western Provence is easily explored via a series of day-triops, you may want to think about renting a house for a week, and relocating for your last 2 days in the region.

St Remy, or someplace nearby is a wonderful choice for a base - we have been spending a month in the nearby village of Maussane-les-Alpilles ( about a 12 - 15 minutes away, through a dramaticlly gorgeous drive ).

Hope that you will visit the Camargue - gorgeous bulls and loads of wonderful wildfowl ( including migratory birds )

I'm going to be in St. Remy then as well. I don't know about working farms either, but we have found a great B & B just outside St. Remy called Mas Shamrock. It's an old farmhouse, has a pool, and is around 90 euros a night. Don't know if they have anything now, but they might!
