day trip today

Bon Jour

we are in the area of rayon canadel sur mer and looking for a day trip for sightseeing walking and looking around perhaps a castle or village. we spent a day in st tropez and was thinking of going to marseille or grimed. any suggestions or advice?

Marseille is European City of Culture this year - so that alone makes it worth going to see. There are lots of new buildings and exhibitions.

About 100 - 120 Km, say an hour - hour and a half drive. If you are going to drive, I strongly advise you to avoid too much driving in Marseille itself, which gets very, very congested.

Go to one of the underground carparks (they are well signposted) and leave the car there. The public transport system in Marseille will take you everywhere you want. If you don't do this, you could spend a large part of your day simply getting from one place to another and then trying to find somewhere to park when you arrived.
