Bicycle Rentals in Orange or points north?

We will be in Orange for a week in late August. We wanted to rent bikes for a day and tour around some nice areas for the day (never been there, but perhaps the wineries which I believe are to the north). Any recommendations on where we could rent a couple of touring bikes and helmets (or whatever is required)?

I should add that we will have a rental car so could drive to the rental place for the right scenery etc.

Thanks, Adrian.

If you google the phrase "location de vélo orange" you'll get some results, such as this one:

In Vaison la Romaine you can rent mountain bikes at Intersport; there is another rental outfit on the other side of town which might also be useful if you plan to ride to Gigondas or Séguret.

We didn't explore around Orange much; near Vaison la Romaine / Gigondas / Séguret there are plenty of wineries but you might find the distances a little long for cycling and wine appreciation unless you have a way to transport bikes. We visited Gigondas by car instead, and on one decently hot day road way back into the hills on mountain bikes knowing we'd have a fun and fast downhill return to Vaison la Romaine where we were staying.

Some of our best, and cheapest, wine buys while touring France in July came from this region. It's a sad that the local Super U in VLR had better selection than our govt run speciality wine store at home.
