Should we visit?

Trying to plan a touring holiday from Reims to Provence in May/June next year and have a couple of days to spare. Thinking about Annecy or French Riviera - can't manage both and don't know which to choose. I know they're entirely different but would appreciate feedback from experts and travellers. Thanks.

Annecy would make the most sense, given the amount of time you have. It's a beautiful area.

I've been to both and for the time of year you're looking at - would opt for Annecy. Annecy is very unique with its numerous canals coursing throughout - located on Lake Annecy surrounded by mountains. Numeorus shops, nice walks, and friendly people. If there on the weekend (Sunday ) - great market. The Riviera is nice also; but will probably be more crowded, more expensive, and not the same beautiful views or feel when walking through the city.
