Doreen, the bus timetable is displayed at the train station - since you are so close, just pop down and see what time they come. It's approx every half hour but less on weekends. You don't need to book online or ahead of time, just use the machine at the station to buy tickets. I'm not sure where you are from, but it's just like riding a local train in most countries - very easy and no pre-bookings required. BTW always choose second class tickets since the carriages are in fact all the same.

From memory the machines take credit card rather than cash.

I didn't use the buses so perhaps someone else can advise on that aspect.

Hey thanks for the great info re train travel from Le Neptune. We live in Canada and unfortunately other than for long distance travelling across our vast county, we do not have the fantastic train systems that you have in Europe-as a result we are not familiar with, nor comfortable with, short-distance train travel. So your advise is appreciated.

Thank you so much for this info re trains and buses Selkienice. You have no idea how much help your advice has provided. Here in Canada although we do have long-distance trains across our vast country, unfortunately, few regional train exists, except in and around large cities. We have a long way to go to catch up with the fantastic train travel system you have in Europe.
