Vineyard Tours?

Hi,

We'll be staying in Ste Maxime for 2 nights in July and then onto St. Raphael, We hope to get the ferry to St. Tropez on 1st day of stay in Ste. Maxime, then maybe do a vineyard tour the next day.

I'm wondering if there are nice ones around Ste M, or would one night do there to see St.Topez and then extend the stay in St. Raphael to include vineyard/beach/snorkelling....Thanks.

Hope you get a reply: we would also love to visit a small local wine producer while in the area.

The St Tropez peninsula (Ramatuelle commune) counts about 6 Domaines vineyards. Plenty of smaller family producers too, who then group their grapes into a cooperative production.

The larger Domaines include: Château Volterra (owned by a Canadian), Château des Marres, Château de Pampelonne (on the Route des Plages), Domaine des Tournels, Domaine de la Tourraque. Many close between 12 noon and 2 or 3PM, and on Sundays but are otherwise open for tasting between 10AM and 6PM.

Never have been on an organized wine tour since we usually go by car, though some must exist.

I suggest you email the Ramatuelle tourism board for help with such a tour: office@ramatuelle-tourisme.com

Enjoy!
