Supermarkets: yes ("pur malt"), restaurants: no

Very unusual to find it in restaurants, the normal response to a request is a shrug of the shoulders and a sneering sarcastic response. Mind you, that is pretty much the standard response to anything on the Cote D'Azur!

Non-alcoholic beer ? Is such a thing possible? Is this a new manifestation of political correctness?

I quitted drinking alcohol for some weeks a few years ago and did therefore a non-alcoholic (actually it can have still 0.5% alc.) beer "degustation" (in Germany). Beck's came first by a clear margin. Most was awful.

Kronenbourg "pur malt" is not that bad. But: save the money and drink water.

I have to avoid alcohol because of a medication interaction; don't want to fry my liver! So I mostly drink non-alcoholic beer but occasionally allow myself some of the real thing. Around where I live the best of that comes from the tiny community of Booneville (in California).

Many thanks.

About what I expected. Beck's is my traveling companion's choice when available.
