Casino of Monte Carlo question please?

Husband really wants to visit Casino of Monte Carlo . Don't know why. Not one of his favourite pass times. Did same thing in Venice, had to visit Casino of Venice ( came away very disappointed, entrance fee, picture taking and they wanted us to show them our passports) We don't usually carry around our passports, finally let us in but we felt like criminals ( almost) L.O.L.

What are the rules for the Monte Carlo Casino? Much the same? Do we need our passports?

What is the dress code? Do they have one? Don't see myself in evening clothes and pumps taking train there, especially if we are doing sight seeing! L.O.L.

Thanks

Try posting your message in the Monte Carlo forum, not the one for Nice. You'll get more help there.

All information is here www.casinomontecarlo.com/-Pratical-info-.html

You need your passport for the ID control areas, but not for the rest. The rest is a fairly small area, and not where the big money changes hands, but gives you a small sample of the interior architecture.

The impressive Salle Garnier opera house used to be viewable as well without ID, but it doesn't appear on the list of rooms so may no longer be so.

Thanks dathecoast,

At least the building in Monte Carlo will be beautiful to look at, the one in Venice was nothing to brag about.

Checked their web page that was so kindly posted by perilizia and it seems that the dress code is not bad

for individuals who want to just visit and look around. Resort or ship elegant wear. Won't be allowed in the

private rooms, but that is just fine for us. More interested in the glamour of the place. Take a drink in La

Salle Blanche so we can enjoy the live music that they have every Friday and Saturday nights.

Thanks
