I think all theses buses are leaving from "Vauban" that means 4 min by walk from this hotel
112, I am sure
Thanks for the information. Good to know that the bus stops are close by. BTW, is "Vauban" a street name? establishment?
Vauban is the Terminus, the name of the bus station
or the name of a small stadium as well
81 and 100 leave from jc bermond- near opera/vielle ville tram stop - so either take tram from palais des expositions to opera/vielle ville or walk/take tram to garibaldi and take buses from stop segurane
112 and 82 leave from the new bus station beside vauban tram stop - a short walk from your hotel or one tram stop or you can get on the bus at risso/palais beside your hotel
it is always advisable to take buses as close to the start of the route as possibleEdited: 11:31 am, May 09, 2011
selkieNice, thanks again for your help!
We will be staying at NH Nice. Does 98 or 99 from Airport stop nearh the hotel.
Thanks in advance
bus 98 will be the nearest
you can mix bus 98 + tramway until "palais des expositions"
or bus 98 until the last stop riquier + walk 10 min the street "pierre sola"
Easiest , shortest journey time and shortest walk would be taking bus 99 to the last stop [gare Theirs-Nice main train station] , then 2 mins walk to the tram stop also called Gare Thiers , then take tram in direction Pont Michel [get on the tram at closest side -ie don't cross the tracks] and get off at tram stop Palais des expositions
On bus 99 you will get a ticket for 4 euros per person - you will reuse this ticket and revalidate it on the tram . The ticket is valid all day on local buses and trams , so don't bend it, get it wet , don't put it in a pocket loose where it can get damp from sweat or it becomes void
bus 99 timetable =you will need to cut and past the link as it is not showing as clickable = - last bus from terminal 2 is 20.53 and last bus from terminal 1 is 21.00
If arriving after the last 99 , take bus 98 - 4 euros ticket and get off at the stop cathedral/vieille ville , cross to the other side of tram tracks and take tram ,direction Pont Michel , to Palais des expositions - re-validate ticket on tram,
Also don't buy a ticket from someone selling theirs half price at the airportEdited: 2:50 pm, July 23, 2012
