Nice, Cannes, Monaco

My husband and I currently live in Geneva, Switzerland and are planning a 4 day vacation based in Nice, France at the end of May. We plan to take day trips to Cannes and Monaco during our stay. Do you recommend purchasing the France rail pass for this, or just purchase individual tickets as we go?

Which france rail pass do you mean?

Monaco from Nice by bus one euro each way or 3E30 each way by train

Nice- Cannes - 6E each way on local trains [about 40 mins] , about 9 euros on the TGV [about 30 mins] A bus is also possible between Nice and Cannes for one euro but it takes a very long time [ about 2hours-and more if traffic is bad]

Yes, individual trips by bus/train will be much cheaper than an France Rail Pass I was looking at on raileurope.com. Thanks for your help! We are looking forward to our trip. If you have any recommendations on things to do/see/eat, much welcome.

Thanks again, Natalie

Agree with selkieNice about the train from Nice to Cannes. We made the mistake of getting the bus last month and it seems to stop at every lampost!-just a never ending journey. Made sure we got the train coming back. Best of luck.
