Hyeres or Toulon for over 60's?

Having stayed in Nice or Villefranche for the last 5 years we have decided to move further round the coast for our next trip.

We are two fairly sprightly couples in our early 60's and don't really like to use a car on holiday. We love beaches, markets, and boat trips and we prefer self catering apartments or villas. Any advice from the experts please?

Hi Martin

Thanks very much for your response. We're in a real quandry about our summer destination for next summer. We love Nice but think it's time for a change so thought to move further round the coast. I've done quite a bit of research but still haven't come up with an alternative. We definitely don't want quiet - we want hustle and bustle - local life - markets - people watching - nice restaurants. When in Nice we always stay in an apartment near the Port and we love the atmosphere and the fact that we can walk out fo our apartment and get fresh bread and at least a few necessities. Would Hyeres fit the picture? Would really value your opinion.

Regards

Sue
