Day trip or spend the night ?

I just discovered Eze and must add it to our itenerary for our fall anniversary trip . It looks so beautiful and romantic ! Problem is we already have a loaded schedule and don't want to do too much and not enjoy the places we go . Is Eze worth the drive from Nice for the day and dinner at sunset then leave to go back or should we spend a night or 2 to really enjoy the town ? It looks like it is less than 15 miles away . If we stay a day or 2 we will need to cut something else out along the way...

Eze is tiny and mainly of interest for the view. I often visit but never stay for more than an hour or so.

Thanks. Are there any restaurants with a great view ? I think we will make a day trip and just enjoy the scenery .

There are two restaurants, both very pricey: the Château Eza and Château de la Chevre d'Or. The views are free, fortunately; you don't need to go to the restaurants to look out toward the sea.

LondonBob - so you wouldn't find it worthwhile to spend the night, also not to feel the atmosphere after the buscrowds have gone back down to the coast ? Hmmm..........

The layout of Eze means there is no place for promenading and people watching etc . The most atmosphere in the evening will be around the small selection of bars and cafes on the moyenne corniche rather than in the village itself
