Antibes is a small place and there tend not to be big differences if you step from one part to the other. Av 24 aout is a 'lived in' everyday kind of street with a cinema and bus station and a couple of cafes and shops including a great comic shop. A new hotel called la Place has recently opened there. There is a street market just beside it on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

You are only 5 minures walk from 3 supermarkets and the Old Town. The nearest beach is about 20 minutes walk.

A few minutes walk down the Rue de la Republique will bring you to the underground parking garage La Poste (it's at the post office). You can get a weekly pass for around 65 euro.

There is also a garage under the Mediatheque building off Boulevard Wilson, a little further away.

Driving generally in Antibes is problematic due to narrow mediaeval streets, often pedestrianised. Also the regular trains are the best way to get to Nice, Cannes, Monaco etc.
