Tipping guidelines for privately owned vacation rental

I've just booked a vacation rental for 4 nights in the Loire Valley. The rental is a private cottage owned by a couple that live in the main house on property. The rental cost includes all necessities such as utilities, linens, toiletries, and cleaning services. Is it also proper to tip the owner?

I don't want to offend them by offering a tip if that is not appropriate, but want to plan accordingly if a tip is acceptable/expected/recommended in this situation. Any help is greatly appreciated!

No, do not tip them. It's just not done and they would feel hugely embarrassed.

It you like the rental then tell them so, and thank them for their hospitality. And, if you wish, write a good review about it.
