What to do in honfleur and where to eat

Where do you eat and what would be good for a 13 year old boy to do there. What are so e of the fun things to do.

Hi,

Have been to beautiful, wonderful Honfleur on a couple of occasions, without the kids. Can't think of anything that would entertain my kids when they were that age - although we all have different tastes.

As for eating - we always let the hotel/B&B and Tripadvisor be our guide and have had some great meals.

You will love Honfleur - have a great trip !

take a day trip over to Etretat -- you get to drive over the wonderful Pont Normandie and it is not far beyond that to Etretat a sleepy little beach town with just simply amazing white cliffs and structures --- it is a great place for hiking and was full of kids when we were there. …wordpress.com/2013/…

Honfleur is charming and beautiful but it s classic tourist town -- full of restaurants, little boutiques, art stores etc and I saw absolutely nothing that would be of the slightest interest to the typical 13 year old boy. it is as 'old lady' a town as I can imagine. tons of restaurants both on the picturesque little harbor and around the town square/church. the old wooden church is itself quite interesting.

your question about Honfleur - Le Harve has been asked many times on this forum - can't answer about Etretat - just go to the Honfleur Forum search engine (little box at top pf this page) and you will find the answer/s you are seeking - all public transport I'm afraid -

enjoy !

The Maison Satie in Honfleur often has quirky surrealist and modern art exhibits that young'uns IME often like....

You can take a boat trip across the Seine estuary to view the working harbours at Le Havre...

You can rent a boat for your own fun...

A walk out to the mouth of the Seine on the jetee de l'ouest nets great views of the shipping passing by.

There is a small beach which is OK for a paddle...

OK some of that may not appeal to master 13, but some might!

Let him look at the OTC website for Honfleur, and see if he can pick anything he likes....

Something for a 13 year old really is down to the 13 year old. Honfleur has a merry-go-round he/she can ride on ! ;) The video link below shows how fast and exciting it is.

Or eat some food, ice cream and visit Natrouspace-video link below.

But anyway Honfleur is a great little place...and deserves a much longer stay to be honest.
