Sunday in Honfleur

I am taking my elderly mother on a weekend cruise that calls at Honfluer on a Sunday at the end of November. Can anyone tell me how far it is from the port to the main town area, and will the shops, bars, cafes be open?

I suspect that cafes and bars will be open, but shops on a Sunday a little bit more difficult to predict.

The modern Port at Honfleur is quite larege and I'm not sure where the cruise ships stop - is it a River Cruise or a Sea Cruise??

I suspect that the larger sea boats actually might stop a bit further up-river. You might need a taxi to get you from the ship to the picturesque Vieux Bassin area.

Although shops maybe closed, Honfleur has a lovely wooden Church to visit (St Catherine) and some interesting small museums that you both might enjoy!

This wiki shows a layout of the port - perhaps you can ask your cruise Co to advise you of exactly where they moor up - I daresay they will help you with anything you need to know, if you ask:

If it's a sea going ship they stop in the estuary. You'll need a taxi. You should ask the ship to call one. There might be some waiting but at Honfleur there are usually less than at Le havre. Cafés, restaurants, art galleries and souvenir shops will be open as usual.

The cruise line might lay on a shuttle.
