La Ducrie

We're thinking of booking La Ducrie hotel next May or June. It looks wonderful, but I had a few questions.

-I assume it is not air conditioned. We're a family of four. What's the weather typically like?

-Can you request specific rooms? Do some have nicer views or decor?

Thanks...

No, it's not air conditioned but few hotels in the countryside are. They get great circulation from the window shutters which allow you to close them but still have a breeze.

Rooms are on a first come, first served basis. Make your request early. All the rooms are nice and spacious. Most have en suite bathrooms. (I think Salle to Monae does not) Views from all around are good but the back is probably the best.

It's a unique place and you will enjoy the visit. Tell Joe to make sure to stock up on single malt scotch.
