We want to take a cruise on the Canal du Midi next year (2013) in June. There will be 6 of us in all.Two of the party are in their 80s. So it's important that the boat is comfortable but more importantly that they can get on and off easily. Both of them are quite fit just not as sprightly as they used to be.
The other four are fine and fit, but as we're the next generation down, we're not that young. I notice that there are stretches with a lot of locks which could be a bit tiresome and my parents (the 80-year-olds) will insist on jumping on and off to help no doubt! Any suggestions of experts I can contact to help plan the trip would be welcome.
Also, advice on the least tiring way to travel to the region. Is flying to Toulouse the best option? We'll all be travelling via London.
