november visit

have just booked to visit carcassonne and the region for 5 nights with my husband commencing 9th nov '06. are considering hiring a car from the airport.

we would like to stay maybe 3 nights in a traditional small b & b in carcassone and 2 nights elsewhere.

have already enquired re the l'echappe belle which is within the city walls of carcassonne. can anyone comment on this. or would it be better to stay outside and travel in.

as we have never visited france before any recommendations for reasonably priced accommodation and restaurants/cafes and tips on where to visit in november on a 5 night stay would be greatly appreciated.

Try the Maison et Pigeon restaurant in Limoux, about 1/2 south.

Hello boo,

I don't know the place you mention in la Cité, but if you have a car, make sure anywhere you stay there has it's own parking, as it can be really difficult otherwise.
