Tickets for musee de l'orangerie

Is there a way to buy tickets online just one day or so in advance? Thanks for any suggestions. I would love to avoid queuing up on the cold right now.

You could try the tourist office

If you want to go buy tickets at the office, the address is 25 rue des Pyramides, 75001.

You can buy tickets at any of the FNAC offices in Paris. There is a small service fee. You can purchase your FNAC tickets on-line but you still have to go to a FNAC office to pick them up. They wouldn't be available at the L'Orangerie.

There is usually a line at the L'Orangerie unless you get there before it opens. I do find though that, because the museum is quite small, people are continuously exiting and entering. The wait might be 30 minutes but not much more than that.

If you have tickets or a pass you will be able to wait in the shorter security line to get in -- so having the ticket ahead might save some time in line. We were there in late October and the regular line took about half an hour; those in the line for ticket holders were in in about 10 minutes.

having a ticket really helped us in late Oct. Be sure to find the correct line...it can get muddled there...should be personnel in front to assist if you need help. Also those crowds can be alot bigger if these is a special exhibit there when you visit...we hit Freida Kaldo and it was crazy...about one hour wait with pass and ticket and the general line was 3-4 hours.

Having a ticket will give you priority and can save a lot of time. Popular temporary exhibitions (Orangerie often hosts good ones) can get big crowds and so the line is slow because they do not want too many people inside at once.

It's best to buy tics in advance -- sometimes they sell out, and you have a better choice of time slots available earlier on.
