Carte Restopolitain

Hi all,

I was in the process of ordering the museum pass with FNAC to have it delivered to Canada.

I know it's an extra expense but I am willing to pay for the convenience.

At checkout I was asked to buy a restopolitain card for 5 euros which gives a 2 for the price of 1 at certain rest. in Paris...

Is this a good idea?

Has anyone used this card?

Any feedback would be helpful

Just get your Museum Pass in Paris. It's available at any participating museum. I'm a planner too, and love to have as much as possible done ahead of time - but there is absolutely no need to get a museum pass in advance.

You can also get the museum pass at the information desk at CDG.

Don't bother with resto card.

Similar deals on lafourchette.

I would never bother getting the Museum Pass in advance. It's just another thing to lug across the ocean and can incredibly easily be picked up at the first museum you visit at no extra expense. And forget whatever that carte restopolitain is; you can do as well or better with La Fourchette.

You can pick one up right at the airport for no extra money. The shipping costs may well cancel out any savings you're getting.

Is there a spot to pick one up in St Pancras if arriving by Eurostar?

Not in St. Pancras but you can buy it at Gare du Nord in Paris, which is where the Eurostar arrives.

…parismuseumpass.com/…

It's also very easy to buy it at one of the smaller museums covered by the pass. If you haven't seen it, here's a list of the museums that sell it. It's most - but not all - of the ones included in the pass.
