Cool Day for Recent High School Grads

Bonjour,

Will be taking a couple of 18 year old girls as a graduation gift on an escorted tour to London, Paris, Brugge, Amsterdam in early June. We will be in Paris for 3 nights, we travel from London to Paris on the Chunnel on the first morning have that afternoon free, take a 1/2 day city tour the next morning, with the afternoon free, then have the last day free. We will be staying in the Sacre Coeur area. Would love any suggestions for something really cool to do with them that would leave them with a lasting memory of the not so touristy Paris, (there are 8 of us total so we could possibly even hire a tour for our group). We are all fit and adventurous. We are planning to do the Eiffel Tower behind the Scenes tour and visiting the Louve, thought we could do those things on those free afternoons. Would love any suggestions or your thoughts on this. As always, TAers are the best!!!!

Something from the sky !! Unfortunattely it is not the cheapest thing.

A baloon, it costs 12€/person (ballondeparis.com/fr/…infos-pratiques)

If you are really rich, you can visit the area with a Zeppelin, but it costs Thousands of € for a family !! http://www.airship-paris.fr/

Unfortunately, the Grande Roue (that costs 10€/person and offers a nice view) is only winter.. sortiraparis.com/loisirs/articles/45110-la-g…

I was also thinking about Hamman in the Mosquee of Paris, but it is only women...

18? They will be able to drink legally in France. How about champagne or wine tasting to celebrate their graduation? Talk about a cool facebook status :-)

(daytrip to loire valley or burgundy for wine, or Reims for champagne)...or do you own tasting in Paris!

THATLou has great scavenger hunts in the Louvre. Super fun.

It also depends on what they're into, but I'd say dinner at Le Ciel de Paris, with the entire city at their feet would leave lasting memories.

They would have to vote on such an idea, but there is always the indoor Aquaboulevard water park.

Re-reading the title of this thread made me think:

Isn't BEING IN PARIS 'cool' enough??

There are plenty of small cruise boats on the Seine that can be privatized for a few hours, which might feel cooler than taking one of the normal Seine cruises. They can provide "refreshments" or you can bring your own.

Thank you all for the suggestions, unfortunately, we are very middle, middle class so the options for the wealthy won't be happening😃. The Segway or bike tour sound like fun, I wonder though how difficult that would be with the Paris traffic? Never been on a Segway so that would be an experience for all of us. The louve scavenger hunt and wine tasting also sound like fun however probably don't want to leave Paris, I'll check all suggestions out and be back with more questions I'm sure. Merci beaucoup (practicing my limited French) to all of you who responded
