We are going to Paris in November and my girlfriend is coeliac. Can anyone list to us any good and reasonably priced restaurants which serve gluten free food please?

Thanks in advance for your kind help

Bonjour Chris - this is a very popular topic in Paris. If you do a GoogleSearch, under "no-gluten restaurants in Paris", you will find a lot of resources. New places are popping up every week.

If you are in the Marais, look for Cafe Pinson, Rose Bakery and Bob's, just to name a few. Also "Noglu" in Passage des Panoramas", in the 2nd arrondissement.

France has been a little slower getting up to speed for those of us needing to travel Gluten Free but is getting better now and we do have several suggestions on our website here of places to go:

travelglutenfree.co.uk/Europe/…

It includes NoGlu which as the name suggests is 100% Gluten Free!

Hope this helps

Re Helmut Newcake as kaysage mentions above, this from October, Conde Nast Traveler:

"Paris's first gluten-free bakery is on the east side of the canal (St. Martin) and has all manner of sweet treats as well as lunch specials."

My wife loves Helmut Newcake. The pastries are quite good but she finds the muffins a little dry. You are generally looking at around 4euros a pastry.

Thanks to all of you for your great help. I am still looking for a hotel, but was thinking of staying central, maybe in the Eiffel Tower area.

Not sure the Eiffel Tower is very 'central' but get back to us when you have a hotel and we'll have some ideas near where you are....you'll be fine!

The Eiffel Tower is central to the Eiffel Tower, but not much else.

To be more "central' look for hotels a little furher east. When you take a look at your map of Paris you'll see what I mean.

Great thanks, I will get back to you once I book the hotel. still looking. would love to have the view of the tower or could easily walk to it every evening, but I will consider the ones on the east of the tower too in order to be more central then, thanks alot :)
