Are taxis available to take you from Gare du Nord to Gare St. Lazare?
Yes, just follow the signs to the taxi rank.
However, it would usually be faster to follow the signs for the Metro/RER station and take RER Line E for one station.Edited: 2:00 am, July 30, 2013
You could also take the bus direct.
Thnaks so much for your timely response to my question. If the RER feels right when we get there, that may be the way to go. Thanks again, Diane
Rintala where are you arriving from at the Gare du Nord?
Ok. Just go out to the front of the station and take bus 26.
We are taking the Thalys from Amsterdam to Gare du Nord, arriving at 12:39. It was recommended that we travel to Rouen by train and rent a car there rather than drive out of Paris to Normandy. Is Gare Saint Lazare far and how much time should we allow between trains? What is your opinion of train to Rouen vs car rental at Gare du Nord? We are 4 travelling with luggage. Thanks
Paris to Rouen isn't a particularly fascinating drive, but it is almost certainly cost effective for a group of 4. In any case, it is extremely easy since it is only about 120 kilometres.
How long does it take to get from the Thalys arrival track to the RER E at Magenta, the transit time from Magenta to Houssmann St. Lazarre and then from RER E at Houssmann St. Lazare to the SNCF track at Gare St. Lazare?
