Dear Rebecca.

The video you have seen was a simple internal training exercise between the booking team, demonstrating how a booking should be taken in a courteous and polite manner.

The card number that is visible is in fact a false card number that was used for training purposes.

We would like to stress that we take our customers security and data protection very seriously and wouldn´t ever dream of revealing a client’s information publicly.

Finally, upon viewing the comment we have deleted the video to avoid further confusion.

Apologies for this misunderstanding,

Regards,

Feelapart

We booked an apartment in Paris with LocalNomad a couple of months ago, and paid a 280 Euro deposit. We are flying to France next week, and I tried to confirm the details today.

The owner of the apartment replied immediately, and said she never received a reservation from LocalNomad. She is going to contact them, and I sent a bunch of emails. (No reply yet from LocalNomad.)

Needless to say, this last minute screw up is a major problem for us, during the busy summer season.

In short, caveat emptor! Great web site, but a major problem in our case.

Hi Robert,

Just came back from Barcelona - used their services. The worst experience ever... Shocking customer care. When we contacted them - their reply was that the manager of the apartment that we stayed in is on holiday.. so we have to wait for his answer when he is back. I hope he enjoys his holiday as we clearly didnt!

It was a first experience in my life when a customer service person (manager or whoever it was) was shouting at me on the phone when I was trying to explain the problem. NEVER AGAIN! And I will contact all the bodies that need to be contacted about our experience to make sure that people will not get a treatment like this. Keep away!

Local Nomad = NEVER AGAIN!

We just arrived in Paris. We had to book a hotel at the last minute, because our "reservation" with Local Nomad fell through. The owner of the apartment said she never received a notice of our reservatiion, or one euro of the large deposit we paid to FeelParis / LocalNomad. Then FeelParis / LocalNomad refused to refund one euro of our deposit, and said that we "voluntarily cancelled" our reservation -- for an apartment that was not available! Talk about good "customer service"...

If you are looking for an apartment in Paris, read the FeelParis / LocalNomad "terms and conditions" page VERY carefully. I wish I had.

The good news: the weather in Paris is wonderful. The city is lively as always, and we spent a couple of hours at a cafe watching the people go by. The remarkable Cluny, d'Orsay, Rodin and Louvre are waiting -- along with fabulous French food.

We arrived this morning on the TGV from Avignon. The Luberon was great -- sunny, relaxed and friendly. We stayed in the small town of Goult, which has to be one of the nicest and most authentic towns in Provence. Not too small, but not too big and full of tourists. A tip: the Les Terrasses restaurant in Goult is excellent. (Be sure to call ahead for a reservation.)

I will post a few reviews after we return.
