Train or Taxis from De Gaulle to Montparnasse

We will be flying into De Gaulle Airport and are wondering which transportation would be best to get to our hotel which is by the Montparnasse train station.

You may want to consider taking the Air France coach to Gare Montparnasse.

Hello,

I've booked the Air France coach to get to my hotal which is about 5 mins walk from the Montparnasse station. I paid £47.00 for 2 people return which is a lot less than a taxi.

Hope this helps. Z

Is it possible to book the Air France coach if we're flying Delta?

Thanks for your help!

The current round trip cost for two using the AF Bus line #4 is 54€.

The low cost option would be the RER B to Denfert Rochereau, transferring to M6, exiting Montparnasse; approx. 9.10€ per person each way. There is no return fare option using the RER.

A taxi would be approximately 55€ each way.

The AF Bus is a comfortable option and moderately priced. The first stop on the #4 line is Gare de Lyon so if you use this option wait for the second stop which is Montparnasse. Anyone who pays can use the AF bus.

You don't need to book...just follow the signs "Les Cars Air France". You can purchase a ticket from the driver when you board (round trip if you wish) with cash or a credit card.

Advantage of Air France coach versus RER/Metro is that your bags are handled and you avoid long walks, stairs, escalators, involved with public transportation and transfers.

If you buy the tickets on line, it's a bit cheaper (not much, though): 24.30 return for 1 person, thus 48.60 euros for 2. See: http://www.lescarsairfrance.com/en.html

Take a taxi or the Air France bus. Trust me, you don't want to negotiate luggage through the Paris Metro system.
