we spent a night in Beaune at the hotel de la Paix -- they have a parking lot for a small fee -- it is a very tight squeeze (lots of paint on the passageway in) and you need to reserve a slot when you book but we found it very convenient since we were arriving by car

it is an easy walk to the historic center, the hospice, restaurants etc

the rooms were charming (ours even had a candle for a romantic evening) and the bathroom was very nice -- huge shower. don't bother getting a balcony as it overlooks the parking lot so it not worth the extra money.

we would book there again

Of course it depends on your budget and what you are looking for. We loved the place we stayed in a neighborhood (not quite a village) about a 5 minute drive out of Beaune; I can't recommend it highly enough. A small hotel, created from a restored 18th century farmhouse, renovated with perfect, rustically elegant taste. Amazing value (rooms for 85 and 105 euros), welcoming and helpful staff. Big parking area, gorgeous gardens.

It won't show up under listings of "Beaune Hotels" on Tripadvisor, because it is located just outside of town in Montagny Les Beaune. We found it in the Karen Brown website, a great source for "charm" hotels and inns, and then checked the reviews on Tripadvisor. I've included the links for the hotel website and the Tripadvisor reviews above.
