Staying in Biarritz in Mid June: Where to stay ?!

Have two days in Biarritz in mid June. Visited once before so rough idea of layout. Am looking for a hotel with sea view, preferably balcony good 3* or 4* rating, real rating not french rating!!

It must be a real 10 minute walk from the centre and the beaches not described as ten but actually 20 or 30 mins!

I have seen a few places around Place St Eugenie but wonder if they might be very noisy at night if you had a sea view room and note a lot of the hotels in Biarritz get a great rating by some trip advisor fans and the same hotel slated by another. Have looked at places like Hotel Au Bon Coin, Hotel de l'Ocean, Tonic hotel and when stayed the last time stayed in the Mercure in the city centry which was fine, not as basic as some French hotels, good view and location, but note it is booked out this time.

So all advice welcome, this will hopefully be a nice romantic short stay and don't want bad hotel to ruin!

Also wondering re taxi cost from airport, not prebooked, just picking up at the airport.

There are a few bars at the southern end of Place Saint Eugenie, some stay open late so you may want to consider somewhere else. June is not high season though so won't be too busy.

Hotel Au Bon Coin is well located but doubt any have sea views. Tonic hotel might have sea views but the casino might get in the way of some rooms.

Some other places for you to consider are Le Grand Large, Hotel Windsor and the other Mercure in the city centre. It is not clear which you stayed in but there are two very close by; Mercure Biarritz Centre Plaza and Mercure Le President Biarritz Centre.

I have a list of taxi prices from my own and clients' use. From Biarritz airport to the Novatel airport hotel was €12. From Biarritz airport to Hotel Edouard VII was €19. It really depends on what route your driver takes you and whether he/she charges you an extra fees.
