Biarritz and the camino

I am thinking of flying to Biarritz in September and walking some of the camino way over 5 days. We will fly in and out of Biarritz. Has anyone done this and can you provide any information/advice. Thanks

Most of the pilgrims I pick up from Biarritz Airport start the Camino at Saint Jean Pied de Port. Some start as soon as they arrive, others stay the night and start the next morning. It depends when your flight will arrive.

The first day from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Roncesvalles is one of the hardest as there is a lot of altitude gain. You can see some of the route by road and read some more about the Camino here: biarritzairporttransfers.com/Biarritz-to-Sai…

The road in the video goes over the same col at Ibardin as you would walk over. This is just before Roncesvalles.

There is a French company based in Saint Jean Pied de Port who do this. Find out all about it here: expressbourricot.com/en/services/luggagetran…
