wimbledon - area and hotel

I will be brining a group over to see Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

what area is best to stay to attend Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

I will be in London on Sept. 23 rd and would like to check out a couple hotels. We would like a nice, clean value hotel that is accessable to Wimbledon and that we can take the Big Bus ( or other city tour) of London. We will need 8 rooms.

In order to give you the best answer, we need to know a few more things.

How many of you will be travelling, and how long will you stay? What kind of rate are you willing to pay? Do you need rooms with ensuite facilities, triple rooms, or any extras in the rooms? Are all the travellers able-bodied, or is an elevator a must?

There aren't a lot of hotels in Wimbeldon, so you're most likely to find something not too pricey in Earl's Court, South Kensington or the Gloucester Road area.

The majority of Big Bus stops and pickup points are roughly within the area bounded by the Circle line, so if you stay south of the river you'll have to take a tube or bus to a stop to join the tours.
