Hello,

The train station in Lancaster is pretty much in the centre of town, just a 1 - 2 minute walk, so you should be fine then.

What are you planning on coming, South Lakeland Parks are sponsoring the Catch the Wind festival on Sunday 20th June - http://www.slparks.co.uk/kite-festival - which is always a great day out, Morecambe is a 5 minute train ride from Lancaster.

I would suggest Williamsons park. There is obviously a park, but they also have also a buterflyhouse, small animals areas and also a nice building- ashton memorial. Google it, they'll have a website, its great for kids.

Yes - ideal to come to Lancaster by train. From the station you walk a very short distance to the Castle where you could take one of the guided tours of the courts and dungeons which are very well done.

Nice historic city to wander through with good independent shops and cafes. Williamson Park worth a visit tho a bit more of a walk - playground and butterfly house and mini zoo there and great views from the Ashton Memorial.
