Hi all

We want to hire car from gatwick airport, any advice on which is best ie company, and insurance take out private ins??? we do have cover.more hol ins which covers some vehicle ins - reliable in crisis - not sure? any tips or advice please?!

The deals change all the time. The only way to be sure whats best for you is to do test bookings for your dates.

As to your policy, you'll just have to read the small print, we can't tell you what your policy does or does not cover.

use www.autoeurope.com.au (or UK) www.vroomvroom.com and/or www.carrental.com (UK) - they are brokers/consolidators who represent all the major rental companies - you will see especially with autoeurope offering packages which include most insurances and additional drivers in the package deal -

Hi,

If using thinking a broker (or even a car hire company) such as carrentals.com then put their name in the search box at the top of this page and look at a few reviews first.

I just did this for carrentals and found this thread.

Do the same for others also.

I have never used either of the ones mentioned in post 2 by Vada but it is as well to be careful.

There are lots of threads from people being wise after the event.
