Co Mayo: On and Off the Beaten Path

From the BBC and Lonely Planet, an article on Co Mayo covers Ashford Castle, Delphi, Westport and Croagh Patrick.

Most of which are not particularly off the beaten path. The title of the article seems to refer to the county as not being on the dreaded "Must See" menu for most visitors:

Check out Secret Ireland: West Mayo - courtesy of The Irish Independent - for some truly less-traveled roads:

Includes Murrisk, Erris Head, Louisburgh, in addition to the islands of Inishboffin and Achill.

Walks, surfing, beaches and biking as well as accommodation and food recommendations.
