Pubs with early trad music sessions

We will be in limerick for 1 week in December. We are travelling with two children age 10 and 6. We would like to visit a pub and see trad session. Any suggestions, I know that children have to leave by 9 pm.

There are two places that you can get good trad but they may not have the trad on the nights you are here:

The first is www.dolans.ie The bar MIGHT be OK but the warehouse really isn't a place for children. And the Dock Road is occasionally the haunt of "Ladies of the Night" but this does not - in ANY WAY - impact on Dolans or its clientele. Although you might want to avoid questions on the way there such as "Mummy why is that lady wearing summer clothes when its winter?" ;o)

The other is the Curraghgower Bar on Clancy's Strand. It has a restaurant and has fabulous views. This, I THINK, would be a better location for children http://www.curragower.com/

You might consider heading out to Bunratty at this time also. The folk park puts up some lovely decorations and The Creamery Bar may have music as well.

You might also try the Traditional Night at Bunratty. It's not just music, and perhaps a little cheesy, but it's definitely family-friendly.
