Cheap Eats

One more question:

We are trying to stretch our trip out as long as possible so we are on a food budget. What are the best cheap eats in Galway?

A really cheap place to eat in Galway is the Home Plate.

It is a very basic cafe and is only open during the day.

A great place for lunch, you can get soup and chicken ciabatta for 6.95. They also do an all day breakfast which is great.

When walking down Shop Street, turn right at Moons. Then take a left at Eddie Rockets and it is just a little bit down on the right hand side.

turn right at Brown Thomas, its ages since it was called Moons!

I agree with the recommendations.

Another good place is The Huntsman, Bar and restraunt, near to theG Hotel, a wee bit out of town but great for lunch if you are in a car.

Sorry about that. Thanks for the correction Milseain.

They would have some job trying to find Moons!

I'm really giving away my age with that one. lol

Definitely agree with McDonagh's...also try Fat Freddy's across the road. It's not too expensive and has a great atmosphere and lovely pizzas.
