Restaurant advice

I'm hoping someone can give some advice on a suitable restaurant in Galway. My elderly father is quite a plain eater, meat & potatoes sort of guy. Whilst the rest of the group are foodies, so I'm thinking Modern Irish/French or seafood.?

We want somewhere with a nice relaxed atmosphere, not too loud and mid range in price would be best.

Any ideas?

We had a nice meal at McSwiggans a few weeks ago. I would say its menu was very nice and they cooked stuff to order for our large party and all had good meals. Had lots of seafood on the menu (I had the salmon and it was great). Has a nice pub downstairs too. Check out their website and the best part its right in town walking distance from everything (i'd say two blocks from Eyre Square). http://www.mcswiggans.com/
