Galway Food Festival

We will be in Galway starting on Saturday. We have a schedule of events at the Galway food festival. But it does not indicate if the restaurants are participating and if they are offering any deals etc.

For the folks that have experienced the Galway Food Festival, what tips might you offer so that we can enjoy it on Sunday and Saturday other than walk around the tents etc?

Also will this be considered a crowded weekend in Galway with Easter and the Food Festival.

Thanks a million!

As this seems to be a new festival, there won't be any folks with experience of a previous Galway Food Festival:

And, for those who may not have seen the schedule of events for The Galway Food Festival, which runs for the whole Easter Weekend (Friday 6th through Monday 9th April):

As Usual said - this is a new event so no previous history to go by, but, when Galway hosted the Volvo Ocean race a couple of years ago - a huge food village was set up in the docks area and it was amazing - some of the food on offer was fantasitc. If this festival is anything like it - it should be very good (presumably it will involve many of the same suppliers)

There is a market taking place Saturday morning at Fishmarket Square behind the Spanish Arch, hoping thats gonna be good. Also the restaurants taking part are all listed on the website of the fest and it says they will be having offers on daily, vague but thats it.
