Galway for New Year

We are considering a short break to Galway over New Year.

Anyone any comments on this? Is it a good place to go? Is there plenty going on?

Anyone got any suggestions for a good, reasonably priced place for 3 single ladies to stay?

Hallo wee wumman!

Aye, Galway will be good at New Year. Galway's actually pretty good most of the year!

There's a massive choice of accommodation, to suit all tastes & budgets. have a google & if you see a place or two you like, me & probably others will advise you on whether we think it'd suit you & your pals.

cheers for now

a lot of places do seem to have "tickets" for New years i.e. pubs will only allow so many in and you get free drinks or something - its a way to curtail the place on New Years Eve. The place is busting at the seams (yknow the way - every lunatic under the sun has to be out on New Years Eve). Its a good place to go, and plenty going on, - check out Jurys at the Spanis Arch - 30 second walk to the Main Street - for a reasonable place to stay - book early.
