Need to rent a studio/flat in Dublin ASAP

Hi,

My sister's just moved to Dublin from the US to attend Royal College of Surgeons, and needs to find a place to live ASAP. So far no luck through ads.

Areas that are in commutable distance, and close to the college would be ideal. Any suggestions how to find more properties?

Thanks,

Dolly.

When you say no luck through ads do you mean these websites.

www.daft.ie

www.myhome.ie

If so then she is going to have a hard time as almost all letting is covered by these sites. This is the busiest time for student rental as we are past 2nd round offers of college places and most/best student accommodation will be taken. She may have to constantly network ( we used to call it asking around)

Anywhere close to RCSI will be at a premium she may need to travel

This thread will probably be closed as it is not strictly travel, good luck to her

Maybe book an apartment for a week as a base while she has a look around.

As already mentioned above its a terrible time to try find long term accomodation in the city. Most areas in the greater Dublin area would have good transport links via bus or rail into the city centre. While not perhaps ideal she might be able to get room and board with a family, the College of Surgeons may be able to help her with this.
