Shelbourne or Westin need help

We can use points to spend our two nights in Dublin at either of these hotels. Which do you feel is nicer, and more convient for airport bus and Hop on Hop off busses? I appreciate any assistance.

Westin was built about 10 years ago and is a fairly predictable upmarket chain hotel. Shelboune has a bit more character as it's much older (about 150 years) though substantially renovated about 5 years ago. Both are pretty central though the Shelbourne enjoys a nicer situation overlooking St Stephen's Green.

There is an Aircoach drop off in Kildare Street beside the Shelbourne and a pick up at the top of Dawson Street, about 3-5 minutes away. Westin is also OK for Aircoach with a drop off at College Green/Trinity College about 3 minutes away and a pick up in Westmoreland Street opposite the hotel. Both hotels are on or near the HOHO bus routes.

On balance, I'd go with the Shelbourne.
