Dublin in February with a 4 year old

We’re heading to Dublin in February with our 4 year old. (We’re fine with the weather!)

What neighborhood should we look into?

We’re not renting a car, so public transpo and Uber are a must. We like tourist/history things, and places with some good bars (that we can bring our kid to).

Any suggestions will be welcome!

I'd stay Central - St Stephens Green/Merrion Square areas. Both central, walkable and close to a nice park with ducks and a playground.

You won't be bringing your kid into many pubs in the evenings - they have to be gone from the premises by 9pm in the winter. In fact some pubs have their own rules and may not allow children on the premises after 6. To be honest you won't see many children in Dublin City centre pubs at all.
