First Visit, what to do, budget?

I am planning an 8 days trip to Ireland from Puerto Rico. This is our first visit so I will appreciate advice on best options for transportation, stay, tours and what to see in general. Thanks in advance.

In the Dublin area, we found the Leap Visitor card very convenient and a good value for transport.

How long will you be in Dublin?

Head to the west coast after a couple of days in Dublin. You cant go wrong out there, beautiful scenery and great places to explore.

What is your budget for accommodation? What type of accommodation would you like to stay in (Airbnb, Hotels, B&B's)? Have you tried Trivago for hotels around Ireland to get an idea of prices?

Heritage Ireland have a good website - www.hertiageireland.ie/

Museums in Dublin - www.museum.ie/Home

Kilmainham Gaol (but would need to book in advance)

National Gallery of Ireland

Hugh Lane Gallery

The Phoenix Park (zoo is here also)

Glasnevin Cemetery - www.glasnevintrust.ie/

Viking Splash Tour

Christchurch & St. Patrick's Cathedrals

Trinity College & Book of Kells

Dublin Castle & Chester Beatty Library

You will need to decide which part(s) of Ireland which you want too see - Kerry is a beautiful county (Tralee, Dingle, Kenmare, the beaches at Castlegregory and near it - Inch Stand).

Do consider the Irish B & B's.

Do enjoy dining at the local Pubs.

@aphroditegirl you already have your own thread on the forum asking that question. There are recommendations there for you!
