Getting the most out of four days

My family of 7 (11, 6 and 4 year old boys) my husband and I both 42 and our aunt and uncle around 65 are coming for a vacation in early June. With all of the extended family we have spread out through the country we figure we will be in the Cork area for 4 days. Can anyone help us figure out what is a must see/do. We want to get the most out for our time. Thanks, karatemom

Karatemom (wouldn't want to mess with you, I suppose !)

Will you be staying in Cork City?

Will you have a car(s)?

What are your main interests?

I have a list of what to see in Cork City, if you want the list, email me brynoadvisor@yahoo.ie

It includes:

Blarney Castle

Blarney Woolen Mills

Cork Public Museum

Cobh – The Queenstown Story

Fota Wildlife Park and Fota House

Cork City Gaol

Shandon Bells (Church of St. Anne)

English Market

Crawford College of Art and Design

Planet Entertainment Centre

Mahon Point Omniplex

Curraheen Race Track

Open Topped bus

CIE tour to Blarney

Tourist office Cork

The list includes prices, times, phone no.s etc.

Your group of 7 is big enough to organise a tour of St Finbarres Cathedral. I would highly recommend this as it's history is fascinating and the tour is very reasonably priced (at the moment 3.50 euro per person!!!)

If you can get Richard Woods to do this tour with you it would be a very valuable experience of about 3 hours as he includes a visit to the local museum. Let me know if you want help organising that one.
