Walking to Fort Charles in Kinsale?

We will be staying at the Trident Hotel in Kinsale and was wondering if it was possible to walk to Fort Charles from our hotel?

Yes, you can walk to Charles Fort from the Trident Hotel. Good stretch of the legs...

It's a good hike, but if you are lucky, about half way up over looking the town, you will run into this lovely older gentleman who is eager to share great historic tid bits of the area and quote some beautiful Irish poetry. One of our favourite moments.

Walking to Charlesfort from Kinsale town is the ONLY real way to properly see the area. From the Trident, you will walk there in just about an hour. It's a great walk and should not be missed.
