Bus trips around Pitlochry

Is it possible to get to various castles and gardens from Pitlochry using buses? Public transport would be great but even bus tours that go for the day to a few sights would be helpful.

Try the above, or your hotel can probably help with a local company. Often the public buses run day tours during the summer, too.

You will certainly manage with public transport, again, your hotel will help but google scotrail for train and buses - www.stagecoachbus.com/localdefault.aspx…

Pitlochry is a great location, 3 miles north at Blair Atholl You have Blair Castle, about 30 mins away by car you have Castle Menzies and near Perth my guess about 30 to 40 mins you have Scone Palace.

Gardens - you have the Explorers Garden in Pitlochry, just behind Pitlcohry Theatre. Bolfracks Garden and Clunie House Gardens both excellent in their own rights are just outside Aberfeldy (about 30 mins away) and of course there is Hercules Garden at Blair Castle.

This guide has maps and details on all the castles and gardens mentioned in Highland Perthshire issuu.com/highland-perthshire/docs/highland_…

Also http://www.highlandperthshire.com/ has a comprehensive events diary that you might find helpful

Yes it is - I need some ideas for visitors to Pitlochry from Europe without thier own transport - e.g. day coach trips.
