Arran or Mull?

We are planning a week in Scotland in September with our baby daughter and want to spend a few days on one if the islands--so which is better, Arran or Mull? We are looking for nice scenery and walks.

They are both beautiful islands, and both have good scenery and fine walks. Mull is a bigger island than Arran, and is a bit more varied, with some excellent beaches and with more opportunities for side trips, e.g. to nearby islands such as Iona and Staffa.

On the other hand, Arran is a bit closer if you are plannimg to drive up from London. You are spoilt for choice!

For me it's Mull - no question. Mull is also less "touristy" than Arran and I would say the only advantage Arran has is it's a little closer (but only about 2 hours - lovely scenery to drive through as well).
